About Creekbank Veterinary Clinic
Welcome to Calm, Compassionate Care
Welcome to Creekbank Veterinary Clinic, a calm, compassionate, and community-centered veterinary practice proudly serving Ohatchee and surrounding areas, including Alexandria, Wellington, Southside, Lincoln, Anniston, Gadsden, Talladega, Jacksonville, Rainbow City, and Oxford, AL.
A Practice Built for the Ohatchee,
AL Community
Creekbank Veterinary Clinic was founded to meet a long-standing need in Ohatchee: access to full-time, high-quality veterinary care close to home. For years, families in this area have traveled long distances to care for the animals they love. This clinic exists to change that — to bring modern veterinary medicine, compassionate guidance, and continuity of care back into the community.
As an independently owned veterinary clinic, Creekbank is deeply invested in the people and pets we serve. We believe veterinary care should be personal, peaceful, and rooted in trust — where pets feel safe, and owners feel genuinely heard. At Creekbank, every visit is guided by empathy, thoughtful medicine, and respect for the bond you share with your pet.
Meet Our Founder:
Dr. Lauren Thibault, DVM
Creekbank Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Lauren Thibault, a dedicated veterinarian with a heart for small animals, exotic pets, and end-of-life care. Dr. Thibault’s decision to open Creekbank was driven by a desire to serve a community in need while practicing medicine the way it should be — thoughtfully, ethically, and with compassion.
As a new graduate, Dr. Thibault brings fresh knowledge, current medical training, and a strong commitment to lifelong learning. She approaches every case with humility, curiosity, and an unwavering focus on what is truly best for each patient.
A Note About Being a New Graduate
Transparency is important to us.
No veterinarian — new or experienced — has personally treated every condition that exists in veterinary medicine. What sets Creekbank Veterinary Clinic apart is Dr. Thibault’s dedication to doing things the right way, even when answers aren’t immediate.
When something unfamiliar arises, you can trust that she will:
Seek answers through research and current medical guidelines
Consult trusted mentors, specialists, and colleagues
Take the time needed to fully understand your pet’s condition
Communicate openly and honestly with you every step of the way
If your pet presents with a condition Dr. Thibault has not yet seen firsthand, she will thoroughly investigate the situation and help guide you toward the best possible path forward — whether that involves diagnostics, treatment, or referral. This approach ensures safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care, always.
Our Philosophy of Care
